All peoples know the very first God – this is a living, creative in thought, infinite universe in time and space. Space is one, and, at the same time, it is infinitely many. In the Book of Veles, it is written: “God is one and many. And let no one share that multitude and say that we have many gods.”
Everything that exists is only a small part of it. And He has a great many names. Ancient Rus and Slavs knew him as the Most High, sometimes shortening the name to the Highest, or even simpler to Vyshnya. Another Aryan people, Indians, called God – Vishnu.
It was the Almighty who created with his thought the Golden Egg, from which His son – Rod came out. This god began to create a visible world. Everything born of the Rod still carries its name in itself: nature, homeland, parents, relatives. The Son of the Almighty divided the world into three parts: the upper, middle and lower.
The top one is in heaven. There are gods who rule people. They are doing the right thing, and so the inhabited heaven is called Right.
Below is the human world, which we clearly see. He is revealed to us by the gods, and therefore his name is Jav.
The lower is the world of the past. Ancestors left there. This is Nav. Obsessions and bad dreams come from there. Our ancestors came from the Other World called “Navi” people.
The clan gave birth to Svarog, the great god who completed the creation of the world. Many other gods and goddesses came from him. Now it is important to understand that the Almighty, Genus, Svarog and all subsequent gods, heroes and people were not independent from parents, relatives and from each other. All of them are manifestations of the first gods, their reduced copy, although each had its own character and differences from the others. The main feature of the Slavic-Russian faith was this: everything in the world is one – gods and nature. And people who called themselves grandchildren, but not slaves of the gods. That is, people and gods were blood relatives, and not creatures alien to each other.
Even after the baptism of Russia, hundreds of years later, the Slavs continued to organize feasts every year on September 8 in honor of the great god Rod. In the sixteenth century, Russian Christian clerics were still conducting explanatory work. So, in the manuscript of this time it is said: “For all there is a creator God, not a Rod”. People did not argue, they agreed: “That’s right, the creator gave birth to the world. Therefore, his name is Rod.” So he was called in the Russian translations of the Bible – the “parent”.
The most ancient myths of the Earth served as a source of legend about the Creation of the world, about the birth of various components of the Universe from parts of the Lord: among the Slavs – Rod (Great-grandfather, Prado), among Indians – Prajapati, Purusha, Brahma, in ancient times – Rudra, among the Scandinavians – Imir, on Caucasus – Tha.
It is this single legend, almost for all the peoples of the Earth, best preserved by the Slavs, which was included in the “Star Book of Kolyada”. Best of all, the text about the Birth of the World by Rod was preserved in the Primordial Vedas (Righteousness) among the Slavs. For example, in various expositions of the “Pigeon Book” (where Rod is called Christ). The most complete set of these spiritual verses is given in the book by P. Bezsonov, “Kalki the Transition,” Volume 2, 1863.
Modern pagans put the idols of Rhoda in the form of wooden phallic symbols painted in red. It can be just a stone pile that has analogues in India, where the phallic linga symbolizes Rudra. Such idols are always set in the open and the higher the better. Treba Rods are still unknowingly brought in the form of “Easter” eggs to the graves of their ancestors. A special celebration of the Sort falls on April 21 (Orthodox Rodion-icebreaker). This holiday is called paganly the Joyful, and Svarozhich himself is honored as a solar deity.
Good luck in finding.
